Wanna play rough? Better be tough.

If you want to play rough, then you’d better be tough. Something many of us had to learn as kids, and with good reason! Anytime you played maybe a bit too aggressively with your friends or siblings, you had to accept any consequences coming your way (though they rarely were more than some cuts and bruises). Well, Coco here (this pretty, big-eared Chihuahua) had to learn this the hard way with her cat little brother, who seems to get easily carried away when playing with her.
Some time ago, Coco visited us after what started as a regular day playing with her brother, Michito. You’ll see, here at DogLover we’re not fans of the myth of cats and dogs being sworn enemies, on the contrary: we believe they can be friends without any issues! But, of course, regardless of how well trained they are, we can’t forget the fact that we’re talking about animals, and if they can be accused of something it’s of being unpredictable from time to time.

Maybe Coco bit a little harder than usual, perhaps Michito lost control for a moment, or it could be that Coco’s little face simply was at the wrong place at the wrong time. It doesn’t matter how it happened, however, what’s important is that Coco received a pretty bad scratch on her eye, resulting in a corneal ulcer. Ouch!
This type of wounds, if untreated, can lead to blindness, and we were definitely not willing to let that happen to poor Coco, so we took her straight to start treatment!

While a corneal ulcer is painful and potentially permanent without professional attention, it is also a fairly frequent reason for consultation when it comes to ophthalmic issues, which means we know very well how to handle it!
It didn’t take long for Coco to be good as new, ready to go home and keep on playing around with her little brother… with some luck, a little more carefully this time.
PS: This is Michito. Is this or is this not the face of a wholeheartedly repented perpetrator?
